Achievements
The important achievements are stated below:
- Allotment of Govt. Building to RC Bijapur by the Deputy Commissioner, Vijayapura: Under leadership of Dr.S.Radha, RD, during November, 2016, the RC has secured rent free accommodation in the premises in Anand Mahal , one of the of the famous historical monument of Vijayapura.
- Growth of RC: The growth of RC is progressing. It has started with the enrolments of 38 in January 2012 session and reached to 3406 during 2016-17. Within 5 years, the RC has achieved 101% growth.
- Display of IGNOU RC Bijapur in the official website of Vijayapura District by the Deputy Commissioner: Under the liaison ship of Dr.S.Radha, RD, the IGNOU RC Bijapur is displayed (with a link to the IGNOU RC Bijapur website) in the official website of Vijayapura ‘http://www.bijapur.nic.in/’ during December, 2014 under the approval of Deputy Commissioner to have global exposure.
- CM Award to Dr.P. Ranganath, Central Prison Superintendent & Coordinator of IGNOU SC 85002D: Dr.P.Ranganath, Bellary Central Prison Superintendent & Coordinator of IGNOU Study Center 85002D has been selected for Chief Minister Medal as a Best Prison Superintendent for the services rendered to the Prisoners including the collaboration with IGNOU.
